Hotchkiss Boys Varsity Lacrosse
As the head coach of Hotchkiss Boys Varsity Lacrosse, J.R. Mastro brings years of expertise and passion to Lax on the Lake. With over 13 years of experience coaching at summer camps for both boys and girls, J.R. is dedicated to fostering a love for lacrosse in players of all levels. Now in his second year as head coach at Hotchkiss, he previously coached at the prestigious Brunswick School (CT) and Culver Academies (IN).
Philosophy:
J.R. believes in meeting every player where they are and helping them achieve their full potential. His coaching emphasizes skill development, creativity, and teamwork in a supportive and fun environment. Whether introducing new players to the game or fine-tuning the skills of experienced athletes, his approach inspires confidence and growth both on and off the field, while also emphasizing the importance of enjoying summer by exploring the natural world.
